Walking though wet streets I want nothing but the rain with nothing
other than the rain to replace the faces that left me tonight. Another
face from the company that dispersed, I feel hurt I feel free with my
feet in the wet yet there’s something missing. And that’s you. All the
people that you brought to my life, Pandemic, all the trouble and the
wonder that you’ve brought to my life like a supernova fades into the
wet streets tonight as the last of you leaves. Leaves the bar, leaves
the country, leaves me restless lonely and alone. I See you, Pandemic,
now, as all that was. Company collapse glistens in my 2am haze.

  1. I have no knowledge of you beyond the entries that currently appear on the front page, but I’ve gotta know. What’s the significance of Pandemic Studios in this story?

  2. For the past two years the admirable games company Pandemic Studios has brought numerous amazing people into my life including some of the most motivated, interesting, smart and dedicated people I’ve ever met. In this list I can include partners, best friends, and mentors.

As the company has fallen in on itself over the last three months (or more) the company has moved steadily towards collapse. A finalization of this was realised a week or two ago. The employees that I called home for the last two years have left Brisbane, for higher ground or better opportunities. And, as this post suggests, I finally lost some of the last of them on Friday.

After a going away party in the Valley where I said goodbye to one of my closest and most potential life friends (who’d wake in the morrow to a flight home to Canada) I left the bar, and walked past the old building (pictured) shining like a ghostly shell, a little upset, as you might imagine, and wrote this post via my phone.

Pandemic has touched my life too, but mainly by sharing a yarn with some of the guys near my work in the lunch line. Question: Did you ever meet Bonno!?
I don’t care if this is a superficial question, it is important that I know the answer!

  7. I do not. But I know a guy who did :)
